Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes of the video, which led us to a longer version of the viral video, posted on X on May 13, 2023. The tweet, translated from Arabic, read, “Israeli bombing destroys the Tafesh family home in the Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, south of Gaza City.”
A further search led us to this tweet by Quds News Network, dated May 13, 2023, confirming that the viral video predates the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Similar posts can be seen here and here.
