Fact

Newschecker noticed that the banner in the background resembled the Yemen flag, indicating the location of the rally. We ran a keyword search for “Yemen protest Yati Narsinghanand”, which did not throw up any credible news reports about such a demonstration.

Newschecker then ran a reverse image search of keyframes, which led us to this Youtube video by Jordan-based Roya News English, dated September 23, 2024, headlined, “Yemen’s Houthis hold military parade to mark decade since Sana’a takeover.”

A comparison of screenshots shows that it is the same parade, considering the banner, flag, buildings in the background, the billboard and white caps worn by the participants.

News reports on the parade can be seen here, here, and here, stating that hundreds of followers of the Yemeni Houthi group took part in a parade commemorating the tenth anniversary of the group’s seizure of the capital Sanaa, adding that participants of the parade, wearing uniforms, carrying weapons and placards, and waving flags of Yemen and Palestine, gathered in central Sanaa.
