So NDTV journalist @pallavabagla connived with a Chinese firm and sold all @isro pictures to @GettyImages for hefty profits.

He collected these pics in pretext of covering ISRO as a journo.

Personal Clarification by Pallava Bagla on Imagery
I have been getting calls seeking my clarification on the still photos I take. Here is my short response.
Yes I am a `contributor’ to `Getty News Images’, my images are for `editorial use only’ and all shot news assignments where I am a declared photo-journalist with Getty Images. I have been with Getty’s predecessor Corbis Images and its predecessors since last at least 25 years. Most of my images come with `standard editorial rights’ and not `commercial agreements’. I have followed accepted global practices of photo-journalism to the best of my ability.
I am accredited as a `cameraman cum correspondent’. As a multi-media man I wear multiple hats since in today’s world being multi-dextrous is the only way one can survive as the demands of journalism have multiplied in all silos and one is expected to do all forms, write, take photos, make videos, radio and do social media.
I have published photos in the Mecca of all still photographers National Geographic magazine among all leading news outlets and is many circles I am better known as a still photographer and I am a full member of the Working News Cameraman’s Association (WNCA).
These `editorial images’ cannot be `sold’ for any other purposes other than news outlets. Getty Images is the world’s largest and most trusted source of quality imagery in the world. Very few people get to be represented by Getty Images and I am possibly one their longest standing contributors from India. I have not sold these images as they come with editorial use limitations. As a prevailing global standard, News photos do not need model or property release.
I am well known for my multi-media work and it has always been applauded and celebrated, and as far as I can recall I have not steeped out of line from any of my contractual arrangements on my editorial work.
Most images in S&T locations are shot with some minder from the press and public relations office on the side, and all entry to and exit from secure facilities are recorded and security checked, several times. So there is no question of any un-authorised entry, let alone photography. Most faces are public figures and role models in their specific domains who need to be emulated if interest in S&T has to be nurtured.

इन संपादकीय तस्वीरों को किसी भी अन्य इस्तेमाल के लिए बेचा नहीं जा सकता सिवाय न्यूज़ के। गेटी इमेजेज़ तस्वीरों के लिए दुनिया की सबसे ज्यादा विश्वसनीय सूत्रों में से एक है। बहुत कम लोगों को गेटी इमेजेज़ का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का मौका मिलता है और मैं उनके सबसे पुराने योगदानकर्ताओं में से एक हूं। मैंने इन तस्वीरों को बेचा नहीं है चूंकि ये संपादकीय इस्तेमाल के लिए ही हैं। एक प्रचलित वैश्विक मानक के रूप में, समाचार से जुड़ी तस्वीरों को मॉडल या सामग्री की तरह जारी करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।
