Modi Cabinet 2024
Having secured the numbers, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government took shape on June 9 when Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister, along with 30 Cabinet Ministers, five Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State (MoS). Modi’s new Council of Ministers is 72-strong and comprises 11 ministers belonging to NDA partners TDP, JDU, LJP, Shiv Sena, and others.

Newschecker ran a reverse image search, which led us to this News18 report, dated July 7, 2021, headlined, “PM Modi’s New Team: Younger and Inclusive Cabinet Explained in GFX”, featuring the same infographic. “News18 gives an overview of the rejigged Team Modi with representation of castes and communities, education, experience etc,” read the report.
The same graphic was featured in this CNBCTV18 report, dated July 8, 2021, stating, “To ensure the Cabinet has the right mix of professionals also, there are 13 lawyers, six doctors, five engineers and seven civil servants out of the 43 members being sworn in today,” adding that it was the first Cabinet reshuffle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term.
