Fact
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes of the video, which led us to the same video on Instagram, dated December 9, 2023, uploaded by a Kazakhstan-based media outlet. “Aktau blogger Azamat Sarsenbayev filmed an almost ten and a half thousand herd on Lake Karakol,” read the post.
We found that Sarsenbayev had uploaded the video to his Instagram account on December 8, 2023, stating that the video was from the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan and that the migratory birds were a little late.
Newchecker then reached out to Sarsenbayev, who confirmed that it was his video and that it was shot in the Mangystau region on December 8, 2023.
