Deepfake Video Of Mia Khalifa Calling Hardik Pandya Her Favourite Cricketer Goes Viral

Former adult star Mia Khalifa says that Hardik Pandya is her favourite cricketer.

Newschecker noticed that Khalifa’s speech sounded monotonous and the lip movements were not fully synchronised, which are telltale signs of AI manipulation.

We then ran a reverse image search of keyframes, which led us to the full interview with Lebanese-American internet celebrity Sarah Joe Chamoun, also known as Mia Khalifa, uploaded on Youtube by popular podcast The Diary Of A CEO on May 18, 2023. Khalifa did not talk about Hardik Pandya nor on cricket at any point in the interview, further indicating that the viral video was digitally altered.

Newschecker ran the video past Hive Moderation, an AI content detection tool, which found it 99.9% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content. We then ran the audio past ElevenLabs, a voice AI research and deployment firm, which said there was a 82% probability that the voice was generated with ElevenLabs.

Thus, we find that the viral interview, where Mia Khalifa is calling Hardik Pandya her favourite cricketer, is actually edited using AI.
