Fact

Newschecker noticed the overly glossy texture of the rats crawling over the kachoris, raising our doubts on whether the video was edited with the help of AI.

We ran a screengrab of the video past WasitAI, an AI-image detector, which stated that it was quite confident that the image or a significant part of it, was created by AI.

We then ran a reverse image search of keyframes, which led us to this same video shared on March 20, 2025, on Instagram by @aiwalafoodie, stating that it was generated by AI. We found several similar videos posted on the page, whose bio stated all the videos are generated by AI.

A further search led us to the original video on Youtube, dated October 12, 2024, further confirming that the viral five-second clip was altered using AI.
