Newschecker first ran a keyword search for “Hana Mahameed Israel attack”, which led us to this The Guardian news report, dated October 5, 2015, stating that Arab-Israeli TV journalist Hanna Mahameed went on air shortly after being hit in the face by a stun grenade during a clash between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters in east Jerusalem. “Mahameed, who works for Lebanese-based Al-Mayadeen TV, was allegedly hit by a projectile grenade fired by Israeli police… She later appeared on air with much of her face covered in bandages,” read the report.
“A TV journalist returned to work with her face bandaged after being hit by a projectile reportedly fired during a clash between Israeli police and demonstrators in East Jerusalem. Hana Mahameed, an Arab-Israeli reporter for Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen TV, appeared on screen with dressings on much of her face and neck, shortly after she was struck by a sound grenade allegedly fired by Israeli officers,” read an Independent report, dated October 5, 2015.
