The body of Nimrita Chandani, student of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University’s Bibi Asifa Dental College in Larkana, Sindh, was found in her college hostel room. It is claimed that she was brutally raped and murdered and this has been doing the rounds on social media.

There have been conflicting reports, and we decided to investigate the matter further. We first started looking for news regarding the same. We found a news of Nimrita Chandani’s death in Gulf News Asia & The Express tribune. In either of these reports, there was no mention of rape, however, a police investigation has begun into the mysterious death.
Even as per ANI’s tweet, there is no mention of physical abuse anywhere.

We also looked further to see if there were any more claims made regarding this unfortunate incident. We came across another tweet of ARY News. According to the ARY News tweet, the girl’s brother alleged that his sister Nimrita Chandani can’t commit suicide. He & his family claim that she was murdered.

According to the media news reports, the police found her body lying on a cot with a rope tied around her neck, and the room door was closed from inside. The Pakistan Police IG Sindh has commanded the SSP of Larkana district to submit all the investigation details. Pakistan Police is investigating the case and this article will be updated when any relevant information is released and received.
