Pakistanis employed in Saudi Arabia celebrate upon hearing rumours that Indian fighter planes were allegedly shot down.
The archived version of the post can be seen here, which has clocked 1 million views so far.
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes, which led us to this TikTok video, dated April 10, 2025, well before the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, which has led to the ongoing India-Pakistan clashes.
A comparison of screengrabs of the viral video (left) with the TikTok post (right) further confirms that it is the same video.
A follow-up video was posted by the user, mr_anwarkhan2, on April 13, 2025, who replied to a user asking for the location, saying it was from Saudi Arabia. The caption for both the videos read, “Pak v Saudi”. Although we could not independently verify the location and incident shown in the video, we can confirm that it predates the current India-Pakistan situation.
