Newschecker ran a reverse image search of the keyframes of the viral video, but could not find any relevant results. We also could not find any credible reports of Udhampur Airbase being damaged following an air strike by Pakistani missiles.
However, on closely analysing the viral video, we noticed that the branding on the fire truck read ‘Pakistan Airforce Fire Services.’
We found similar vehicles featured on the website of Pakistan engineering works, clearly indicating that the model of firefighting vehicle in the viral video belonged to the same model used by the Pakistan Air Force Fire Services.
We also found a Facebook Post by Meraj Limited on October 19, 2017 carrying a picture of a fire truck of the same make as seen in the viral post. The description of the post said, “Pakistan Air Force has recently added two powerful state of the art domestic fire tenders to their fleet of Fire Vehicles. Equipped with EN approved accessories to meet the European Compliance with added option for Polypropylene tanks.”
This proves that the video is from Pakistan and not India.
