Fact

To know the veracity of the claim, we performed a Google search with the help of some keywords but haven’t found any authentic report that confirms Tarek Fatah’s death.

We searched the official Twitter handle of Tarek Fatah. We found a tweet by his daughter Natasha Fatah on April 21, which was retweeted from Tarek Fatah’s Twitter handle.

As per Natasha’s tweet, the claim of Tarek Fatah’s death is false. In her tweet she wrote, “Thank you everyone for keeping my father and family in your prayers. He appreciates all of your thoughts which Im sharing with him regularly. And he’s surrounded by friends and joy on Eid!”

Newschecker contacted Natasha Fatah to ascertain the truth. She denied the claims of Tarek Fatah’s death.  She told us, “My father is still alive. I am with him and we both have smiles on our faces.” Natasha also shared some recent pictures of her father with us.

Significantly, Natasha Fateh had informed on March 20 that her father Tarek Fatah is suffering from cancer. Apart from this, many media organizations and social media users have also called the news of Tarek Fatah’s death as a rumour.

Result: False
