CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who was suspended after she had allegedly slapped actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport last month, has been reinstated and posted in Bengaluru.

Newschecker ran a keyword search for “Kulwinder Kaur CISF constable Bengaluru”, which led us to multiple news reports, seen here, here and here, stating that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said that Kulwinder Kaur is still suspended.
“Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable Kulwinder Kaur, who made headlines for assaulting actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut last month, has been transferred to Karnataka’s Bengaluru, media reports claimed on Wednesday. However, the CISF issued a clarification, saying that Kulwinder Kaur is still suspended and a departmental inquiry against her is underway,” read a Business Standard report, dated July 3, 2024. The security force clarified the same to ANI.
We also came across this ABP News article, dated July 4 2024, where we learnt that Kulwinder Kaur’s brother Sher Singh Mahiwal said that Kaur’s husband, who is also working in CISF, has been transferred to Bengaluru. Mahiwal also told ABP News that Kaur is living in Bengaluru with her husband, while the departmental inquiry is going on. Newschecker also got in contact with the CISF Public Relations Officer (PRO), who confirmed to us that Kaur is still suspended and a departmental inquiry against her is underway.
