NDTV states graphic is fake, will publish “poll of exit polls” on May 10
Several social media users are circulating a graphic of several “opinion polls”, purportedly compiled by NDTV, which shows that the Congress is winning with a clear majority in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. Polling will be held across all 224 constituencies of Karnataka on May 10, with the results to be declared on May 13.

Fact check
Newschecker first ran a keyword search for “NDTV Karnataka opinion polls”, which did not throw up any relevant results. We looked up their website and did not find a recent report on the results of various opinion polls.
However, we came across this NDTV report, dated May 13, 2018, titled “Karnataka Exit Polls Highlights: Exit Polls Predict Hung House, BJP Single-Largest Party”, which was published after polling ended for the 2018 Assembly elections. The format of the infographic, displaying the results of the various exit polls, was similar to the viral graphic, raising our doubts.
A relevant keyword search on Twitter led us to this tweet by NDTV, dated May 3, 2023, stating that the viral infographic is fake.
Conclusion
Fake NDTV infographic on opinion polls predicting huge Congress win in the Karnataka Assembly elections is being widely circulated.
