Rising Border Tensions: Pakistan Army Violates Ceasefire For 8th Consecutive Night
Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control and International Border in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting retaliation from the Indian Army, officials said on Friday (May 2, 2025). Reports further added that the Indian Army troops responded in a calibrated and proportionate manner. This marks the eighth consecutive night of ceasefire violation by the Pakistan army.
Notably, India has announced temporary closure of its airspace for “Pakistan registered aircraft and aircraft operated or leased by Pakistan airlines. These include military flights”, reciprocating Pakistan’s decision.
