Fact

A reverse image search of the photographs takes us to several reports carrying the same picture.

A report on the website of Jagran, published on February 5, 2023 reveals that the image was from an event at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, when the CJI and the other judges of the SC visited the Amrti Udyan  on the invitation of the President Draupadi Murmu. The picture was clicked on the occasion and not from SC as is mentioned in the claim.

On further research, we also found reports that revealed that the two young girls seen in the photograph with DY Chandrachud and his wife are indeed his daughters. A report on th Jansatta notes that the two children are differently abled and are the adopted children of the Chief Justice and his wife Kalpana Das Chandrachud. It further noted that Kalpana Das is the second wife of Justice DY Chandrachud, and that he has two sons with his former wife, Abhinav and Chintan. While Abhinav practices at the Bombay HC, Chintan works with a law firm  in the UK, it added.

Result: Partly False
