Unrelated Video From Maharashtra Shared As Massive Turnout At PM Modi’s Rally In Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth ₹1,22,100 crore and addressed the public  in Banswara, Rajasthan, on September 25, 2025. 

Soon after, a video of a huge crowd began circulating on social media with the claim that it showed people thronging to attend the PM’s rally. Newschecker investigated and found the claim to be false.

• Keyframes from the viral video led to a July 9, 2025 YouTube post featuring the same clip with hashtags suggesting it was from Maharashtra, well before the PM’s rally.
  
• An Instagram account @all_about_phaltan posted the same video on June 22, 2025, with the caption “Hindkesari Pedgaon Maidan 2025,” indicating it was from a bullock cart race. Pedgaon is a village in Satara district, Maharashtra. 

• Google searches using keywords like ‘Hindkesari Pedgaon Maidan” and “bullock cart race” yielded a Saam TV report (June 25, 2025) detailing the same event.
  
• The site seen in the viral clip was geo-located in Pedgaon, Maharashtra. Multiple photos and videos of the bullock cart races are available on Google.

• The same video was previously shared with false claims of showing crowds at a “Voter Adhikar Yatra” in Bihar. Event organiser Karlos Pahalwan earlier confirmed to Newschecker that the clip was from the bullock cart race in Pedagaon.
