Video Of Goddess Kali Temple In A Forest Is AI Generated

The video shows an ancient Goddess Kali temple unearthed in a forest.

A keyword search for “Goddess Kali temple”, “unearthed” and “forest” did not yield any credible evidence of such a discovery recently. On carefully analysing the viral clip, we found that it featured different idols of Goddess Kali in different locations.

We then looked up a segment of the viral clip on AI detection tool Hive Moderation which found an aggregate 99.9% likelihood of the video containing AI-generated or deepfake content.

We also checked multiple screengrabs of the viral footage, claiming to show a Goddess Kali temple in a forest, on another AI detection website ‘WasItAI’ which concluded, “We are quite confident that this image, or significant part of it, was created by Al.” 

Further, a Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral clip did not yield any credible reports carrying the same footage. However, we found an Instagram post by ‘Jay Pirabakaran’ (@jayprints), an “AI artist and creative director”, dated April 17, 2025, carrying the same video. The disclaimer in the post stated, “Note: All visuals are AI-generated and created for storytelling and cultural reverence. We honor all beliefs with deep respect.” The account featured multiple such AI-generated videos.

Hence, the viral video showing a Goddess Kali temple in a forest was found to be AI generated.
