Fact
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes, which led us to this Instagram post, dated November 7, 2023, sharing a longer and clearer version of the viral video. Similar posts, dating back to October-December 2023, can be seen here, here and here confirming that the video was in circulation well before the Ambani pre-wedding gala.
A further search led us to this News18 report, dated October 31, 2023, stating that one couple took extravagance to the next level with a colossal Hogwarts Castle-themed cake for their wedding. “This remarkable creation was a true showstopper. The cake was designed to replicate the iconic castle from J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Positioned on an elaborate platform, the cake was unveiled to all the guests. Every detail, from miniature turrets to the famous Hogwarts castle itself, was intricately recreated in this visually stunning masterpiece,” read the report. A similar report can be seen here, crediting the video to a TikTok post, dated October 22, 2023.
Although we could not independently verify the location of the video, we can confirm that it predates the March 2024 Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding bash.
