To verify if the information is true, Newschecker first looked up the list of stars whose names are included in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On going through the list, we could not find Sidhu’s name in the list. Moosewala’s name did not figure in the list of stars whose name was included in the Walk of Fame Class of 2023 either.
On researching further, we came across a report published by a website named Hindu wire that revealed that the star was a temporary one that was paid for by a fan and not a permanent tribute to the late Punjabi singer. It further mentioned that the fan who shared the original post was one Mani Sidhu.
On checking the Instagram profile of Mani Sidhu, we came across a post wherein the user confirmed that the viral image had more to it. In the Walk Of Fame, there is one star that has been left vacant, without any engravings on it, he said, adding that visitors can get their name pasted on the star by paying $25. “I gave 30$ and wrote two names- one of Sidhu Moose Wala and one of mine. I did it to pay tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala,” Mani Sidhu said in his post.
Newschecker also reached out to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The report will be updated with their response.
