The video features a man addressing the media, stating, ‘Muslims can continue their religious practices, but any anti-national behaviour will be dealt with firmly.’ Newschecker found that the video shows BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma from Bhopal.
Video Of Child Devotee Crying For His Father Amid Sabarimala Rush Goes Viral With Communal Spin
Several social media users shared a video of a wailing child pilgrim aboard a bus at Sabarimala, claiming that Hindus were under attack in “left-ruled” Kerala and were being persecuted. Newschecker found that the video shows a child desperately searching for his father amid the huge rush at Sabarimala. The child is later reunited with his father.

Several social media users shared a video, which purportedly shows piles of clothes from the Spanish fashion brand Zara discarded by Americans on the street in front of the retailer’s store in New York City, in protest against the company’s controversial advertisement campaign allegedly mocking victims in war-torn Gaza. Newschecker found that the video shows an AI-generated ad by an online luxury goods marketplace, promoting sustainable fashion.

Several social media users shared a video, claiming it shows senior leader and outgoing Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan crying following BJP’s “betrayal” by announcing Mohan Yadav as the chief minister-elect in Madhya Pradesh. Newschecker found that the video dates back to July 2019 and shows Chouhan crying over the death of his adopted daughter.
Old Video Of TMC’s Mahua Moitra Being Dragged Out By Police Falsely Shared As Her Lok Sabha Expulsion
Several social media users shared a video, claiming to show Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra’s ouster from the Parliament last week after the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha found her guilty of jeopardising national security by sharing her parliamentary portal’s login credentials with businessman Darshan Hiranandani. Newschecker learnt that it was an old video of the Delhi Police detaining Moitra following a sit-in protest in October 2023.
