The photo shows Saif Ali Khan handing over a bag full of cash to the auto driver who took the actor to the hospital following a recent attack.

On carefully analysing the viral photo, we noticed that the cash in the black bag was not Indian currency. The bag also appeared to have been superimposed on the image.

We then looked up keywords “Saif Ali Khan,”  “Auto driver” and “attack” on Google which led us to multiple reports stating that the actor met Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto rickshaw driver who “saved his life, and thanked him for his help.”

One such report by News18 featured a photograph of Khan with the auto driver similar to the viral image. On comparing both the visuals, we could conclude that the viral image was digitally edited.

Moreover, we found the auto driver refused to disclose the amount he received from Khan during the meeting. “I have promised to him (Saif), and I will stick to it. Let people speculate about it… but I would not like to reveal the amount. He has requested me not to share this information and I’ll keep my promise to him,” Rana reportedly said.

Hence, the viral photo purportedly showing actor Saif Ali Khan giving a bag full of cash to the auto driver was found to be edited.
