A video of a massive motorbike rally is being widely shared on social media platforms, with users claiming that it shows the Bajrang Dal members from Rajasthan reaching West Bengal amid the ongoing violence in the state over the Waqf Amendment Act.

Fact Check/Verification
A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to an Instagram post by @dnyaneshwar_3116, dated February 17, 2025. It featured the same video, confirming that it predates the recent violence in West Bengal. We also noticed the watermark on one “@sumit_suryawanshi_5005” at the bottom of the video.

We then looked up the same on Google, and found an Instagram account by the same name. The profile featured a compilation video showing a similar motorcycle rally, including a snippet from the same location as seen in the viral clip. The hashtags in the post indicated that the video was from Maharashtra’s Sangli.
Taking a clue, we looked up keywords “Sangli”, “Maharashtra”, and “motorcycle” on Google which led us to a Times Of India report, dated February 19, 2025. “Hundreds of motorcycle riders returning to Sangli from an annual fair in Karnataka blaring their horns and cheering loudly at 2 am on Tuesday got a taste of police action. Police resorted to lathicharge on the rowdy motorcyclists and nearly 45 people sustained minor injuries,” the report stated.

Adding, “These motorcyclists visit Chinchali in neighbouring Karnataka every year to attend the Mayakka Devi annual fair, where an annual horsecart race is organised. Organisers claim the horse cart race — covering a distance of roughly 65 km — is the longest in the region.”
A report by Marathi-outlet Saam TV, dated February 19, 2025, also featured a snippet from the viral clip while elaborating on the same incident in Sangli.

Detailing the incident, Sangli-based journalist Vinayak Jadhav told Newschecker that the youths from Sangli’s Sangliwadi took out a procession, on vehicles, horse carts, and bullock carts, to the annual Mayakka Temple Festival in Karnataka’s Chinchali. While returning from the same, they honked near the Sangli police station road creating disturbance in the area.
He added that the police had put up barriers for the same, and took necessary action against the participants for their unruly behavior. Jadhav said that the youths have been creating such a ruckus for the past 3-4 years while returning from the festival.
Conclusion
Hence, the viral posts alleging to show the Bajrang Dal members arriving in West Bengal were found to be false.
