A keyword search for “CNN”, “India-Pakistan” and “statistics” on Google did not yield any such data by the news outlet.
We looked up the same on the official website of the CNN but did not find any such report. Further, the social media handles of the news major did not carry the alleged infographic on losses suffered by India and Pakistan during the recent conflict.
Newschecker reached out to CNN for official clarification regarding the viral infographic, who denied having put out the information. “CNN can confirm this graphic did not originate from CNN,” we were informed, thereby clarifying that it was fabricated.
Government’s PIB Fact Check unit also termed the infographic as “fake”, and “a part of the propaganda campaign.”
