Fact
A reverse image search of a keyframe of the viral video led us to the official YouTube channel of a Bangladeshi news outlet Rtv News, where the same video was uploaded on February 7, 2024. The video title, in Bangla, read, “3 people arrested in Mymensingh park attack incident”.
The video reported that a person named Shahjahan and his family went to visit Aranya Park located in Valuka, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, where they were allegedly attacked by the park authorities. The three accused were arrested by the police based on the complaint lodged by the family.
Other Bangladeshi news outlets like Ekattor TV, Jago News and Banglar Somoy also reported the incident at that time.
Thus it is clear that the video is not from West Bengal, but Bangladesh and all individuals involved, both complainants and accused, are reported to be from the same community.
