Several social media users are circulating a video, claiming it shows the moment when a rocket by Palestinian militant organisation, Hamas, misfired, striking a hospital in Gaza.
An explosion at a hospital in Gaza reportedly killed at least 500 people on Tuesday, Reuters said, quoting the Hamas-run health ministry sources. Local authorities blamed Israeli airstrikes, while Israel alleged it was Hamas rockets misfiring.

Fact Check
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes of the video, which led us to this tweet, dated August 7, 2022. A similar Facebook post and Twitter post, dated August 7, 2022, can be seen here and here, indicating that it is not a recent video.
We also came across this Australian Jewish News report, dated August 7, 2022, stating that a rocket launched by Palestinian terror operatives misfired and hit a Palestinian home in the Strip’s north, killing several people including children, according to Israeli military officials. A similar news report, dated August 6, 2022, can be seen here.
We could not independently ascertain the context of the video yet, but can confirm that it predates the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and the October 17 Gaza hospital attack.
