Claim
Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray will pay higher remittances to Muslim women as they are more fertile.
Fact
No such remarks by Raut. Raut’s team has denied making the statement. The News editor for Pudhari has also denied broadcasting the statement.
Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Polls, an alleged news clipping stating that Uddhav Thackeray has promised to pay ₹ 6000 per month to Muslim women as they have “high fertility” has grabbed social media attention with users accusing the Shiv Sena (UBT) of “appeasement politics.”
Viral image features text in Marathi claiming, “Uddhav Thackeray will give ₹ 3000/- to his beloved sister after he returns as the Chief Minister, and will also give ₹ 6000/- per month to Muslim sisters as they have high fertility.”
The full frame graphics also carries a photograph of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, insinuating that the alleged statement was announced by him.
Multiple X and Facebook users shared the image claiming that the Shiv Sena(UBT) has promised “double” remittances to Muslim women if voted to power.

Fact Check/Verification
A keyword search for “Uddhav Thackeray,” “₹ 6000” and “Muslim Women” on Google did not yield any credible reports stating that Sanjay Raut or any other Shiv Sena (UBT) leader had made such comments.
We then skimmed through the official social media handles of Shiv Sena (UBT) as well as Sanjay Raut but did not find mention of any such scheme.
Newschecker then reached out to Raut’s office who denied the claim as well.
Further, we noticed the logo of “Pudhari News,” a Marathi outlet, on the top right hand side of the viral image.
We then skimmed through the official YouTube channel of the outlet but did not find any such report stating that Shiv Sena (UBT) has promised to pay ₹6000 to Muslim women every month if voted to power in Maharashtra.
Following this, Newschecker reached out to Tulasidas Bhoite, the editor of Pudhari News, who also denied broadcasting any such news, thereby confirming that the viral image is fake.
Conclusion
Hence, the viral post claiming that Sanjay Raut announced higher remittances for Muslim women if Uddhav Thackeray becomes the Maharashtra Chief Minister was found to be false.
Result: False
