Fact
A Google lens search on the keyframes of the footage led us to a YouTube channel “TEGIYA BANGLES,” which had shared the same video on August 6, 2023, titled “dosti ki saja.”
Taking a clue, we looked up “Dosti Ki Saja” on YouTube, which yielded a short film by Vipin Pandey Entertainment Production, dated July 31, 2023. The description of the same listed the cast and crew of the film, and added, “We want to convey this message that we should attract our sons and daughters towards us, that they should tell everything about us.”
After comparing both the videos, we could conclude that the viral footage in fact shows a scene from the short film.
Further, the viral footage was posted on the channel on July 28, 2023, days before the Nuh violence broke out, with the title “Coming soon video So please support my youtube channel”
Another behind the scenes video posted on the channel clearly shows a camera man.
Multiple videos and images, related to the shoot of the film, were also shared by Vipin Pandey on his Facebook account, and can be seen here, here, here and here.
We found multiple videos of actors featured in the viral footage as well, like this, this and this.
Hence, a video from shooting of a short film has been falsely shared to show the Haryana police and members of Hindu organisation torturing a Muslim man.
