A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the video led us to an X post by @MaktoobMedia, dated April 13, 2022. It featured a longer version of the video, identifying it to be from Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone. 

We also found a video report by MP Tak, dated April 15, 2022, featuring stills from the viral clip. The report corroborated that the video was Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone, and shows police assaulting men after the Ram Navami violence. The outlet also interviewed one of the men seen in the video, who said that he had gone out to buy milk when the incident happened. 

A communal violence broke out during the Ram Navami celebrations in Khargone of Madhya Pradesh in April 2022. Multiple outlets such as this, this and this reported on the same.

Hence, we find that an old video from Madhya Pradesh has been falsely shared to show police action on Muslims in Nagpur following the recent communal clashes.
