Reynolds called the viral message a “misinformation”
The Reynolds 045 fine carbure pen – the iconic white body and blue cap has gained immense popularity even after decades in the market. However, on X (previously Twitter) some users claim that Reynolds will discontinue some products in India. A user named ’90skid wrote in a post that “Reynolds 045 Fine Carbure will no longer be available in market, end of an era…”. The post was shared on August 24, 2023.
Several X profiles, including verified handles, are circulating similar posts, claiming that the iconic ball point pen Reynolds 045 Fine Carbure will no longer be available in the market.

Factcheck/ Verification
Newschecker, at first, checked the official Facebook account, Instagram account and the website of Reynolds for the viral news. As soon as the website is opened, we see a pop-up, which reads –
“To our esteemed customers, partners, and stakeholders
Recent misinformation about Reynolds in various media is misleading and inaccurate. Reynolds, with its 45-year legacy in India, has consistently prioritized quality and innovation. We have strong future plan to expand and grow the writing business in India. We encourage everyone to refer to our website and social media channels for accurate information. Upholding the trust you’ve placed in us remains our utmost priority. Thank you for your unwavering support.(Reynolds India Management)”
We can see posts with the same message on Reynold’s Instagram Profile and Facebook page which can be seen here –

Reynolds has also released special posts on their iconic products, saying, “Experience elevated writing with Reynolds 045’s revolutionary laser tip technology, applauded for its remarkable precision and smooth writing.”
We even found that Reynolds is still selling “045 Fine Carbure” pens, which is available on their website.

Moreover, we have sent mail to Reynolds and are waiting for their response on the viral message. This article will be updated once we receive their response.
Conclusion
The viral message saying Reynolds to discontinue “045 fine carbure” pen is not true. Reynolds has called the viral message a “misinformation”.
