Claim
Video of CPI(M) leader Subhashini Ali praising PM Modi, and criticising Rahul Gandhi.

Fact
Ali has herself clarified that the video does not feature her.

A video showing an elderly woman criticising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership is being widely shared on social media platforms. In the video, the woman is heard saying,”If you want the country to grow, do not take Rahul Gandhi’s name. He doesn’t know anything about politics and the country… The world is facing a crisis… If you want to save the country, you have to bring Narendra Modi forward…He (Modi) is a messenger of peace.”

Multiple Facebook and X users shared the video claiming to show the “polling preference” of CPI(M) leader Subhashini Ali. Users further added that the footage shows the CPI(M) leader’s advice to the public. Newschecker found the claim to be untrue. The woman seen in the viral footage is not Ali.
