A video allegedly showing Muskan Rastogi, who along with her lover Sahil Shukla were arrested for allegedly murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput in Meerut last week, performing an obscene dance has gone viral on social media platforms.
Multiple X and Facebook users shared the video showing a woman dancing in a revealing outfit, and identified her to be the accused in the Meerut murder case. Newschecker, however, found the claim to be untrue.

Fact Check/Verification
A reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to an X post by @ruchikokcha, dated March 19, 2025, carrying the same footage of a woman. One user in the comment section of the post pointed out that the viral clip actually features Instagram user ‘palaksaini143’.
We looked up the same on Instagram, and found an account of one Palak Saini, a dancer from Sonipat, Haryana.
On skimming through the Instagram profile of @palaksaini143, we found that the viral clip was uploaded on the account on March 18, 2025. The profile featured multiple such videos showing Saini dancing.

We also compared the photos of murder accused Muskan Rastogi with Saini, and found them to be different individuals.

Conclusion
Hence, the viral posts alleging to show Meerut murder accused Muskan Rastogi’s obscene dance performance were found to be false.
