Fact
Newschecker noticed that the viral graphic had a watermark stating, “The Katva”. We ran a relevant keyword search and were led to the Instagram post uploaded by “satire/parody” handle, @thekatvaindiaa, on March 29, 2023.
The page also has a disclaimer which states that all its news posts are meant as satire, confirming that the viral graphic on DPS Goa was a parody post. Its Twitter bio, too, reads, “The least trusted source in news”.
