Fact

Newschecker ran a keyword search for “Elon Musk child cancer”, which did not lead us to any credible news report or public information about any of Musk’s daughters battling cancer.

We noticed the watermark of Grok, an AI assistant by xAI, in the bottom-right corner of the viral image, suggesting that it was AI-generated. Newschecker then ran the image past WasitAI, an online AI-image detector, which stated: There is some chance that this image, or parts of it, was created by AI. The AIorNot tool said that the image was likely AI-generated, while the SightEngine tool concluded that the image was 99% likely AI-generated.
