Video shows a bridge in China.
A 14-second-long-video featuring an enormous bridge erected in a mountainous terrain is going viral on social media platforms. Those sharing the video claim that it shows the National Highway (NH) 44 in Jammu & Kashmir, a 541 km long highway which starts from its junction with NH-1 near Srinagar, and connects Banihal, Jammu, Kathua in the Union Territory. Newschecker, however, found the claim to be untrue.
Multiple X and Facebook users shared the video claiming that it shows the NH 44 in Jammu & Kashmir. The footage has also found its way to YouTube.

Fact Check/Verification
A reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral footage led us to a YouTube video by ‘HIGHLIGHTS CHINA.’ It featured the same structure as seen in the viral clip, identifying it as ‘Beipanjiang Bridge.’

We also found a Facebook post by People’s Daily, China, dated May 27, 2021, carrying another video of the bridge. “With a total length of 1,341.4 meters and a height of 565.4 meters, the Beipanjiang Bridge stretches across SW China’s Yunnan and Guizhou provinces and it’s known as the world’s highest bridge,” it stated.
Furthermore, reports by Times of India and China Daily too identified the bridge seen in the viral clip as Beipanjiang bridge in China. The bridge, reportedly, stands at the height of 565 metres above the Beipan River valley.

Conclusion
Hence, a video of a bridge in China has been falsely shared to show visuals of the NH 44 in Jammu & Kashmir.
