ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿ ಎಕ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ “ನೊಬೆಲ್‌ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತ ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞ ಅಮರ್ತ್ಯ ಸೇನ್ ನಿಧನ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆ.
ಈ ಪೋಸ್ಟ ಅನ್ನು ಎಕ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಡಿಲೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ನ ಆರ್ಕೈವ್ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಬಹುದು.

ನ್ಯೂಸ್ಚೆಕರ್ ಸತ್ಯಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತೆ ಸೀಮಾ ಚಿಸ್ತಿ ಅವರ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ನ್ಯೂಸ್ಚೆಕರ್ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ನಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸೇನ್ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಚಿ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮರ್ತ್ಯ ಸೇನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮಗಳು ಅಂತರಾ ಸೇನ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸೌಮಿಕ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ಚೆಕರ್ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ನಾನು ಅಮೆರಿಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಸೇನ್ ಅವರ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಸೇನ್ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ಚೆಕರ್ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅಮರ್ತ್ಯ ಸೇನ್ ಅವರ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗಳು ಅಂತರಾ ಸೇನ್ ಕೂಡ ಇದು ನಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಸೇನ್ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾನು ಕೇಂಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ. ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಇದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸುದ್ದಿ” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅವರ ಮಗಳು ನಂದನಾ ಸೇನ್ ಕೂಡ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿ, “ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾಳಜಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಬಾಬಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾವು ಕೇಂಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ವಾರವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದೇವೆ – ಕಳೆದ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಾವು ವಿದಾಯ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೆ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು! ಅವರು ಹಾರ್ವರ್ಡ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ 2 ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರತವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
