With the win of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi elections, misinformation and false claims are doing rounds in social media. Janata Dal United (JDU) leader Ajay Alok tweeted that out of the 62 elected AAP MLAs, 40 have been accused of rape.

According to an ADR report, Out of 62 MLAs, 38 MLAs (61%) from AAP have declared criminal cases against themselves in their affidavit . As per report, 13 MLAs have declared cases related to crimes against women. Out of these 13 MLAs, 1 MLA has declared case related to rape.

Conclusion :
Newschecker fact checked the claim and found that claim shared by JD(U) leader in his tweet is false. Out of the 62 AAP MLAs , only 1 AAP MLA has rape charges against him.
