No reports on the actor's visit to Mahakumbh so far. Old video from Mumbai shared in false context.

A 30-second-long-video allegedly showing actor Yash along with his family at the Mahakumbh Mela, which is currently underway at Prayagraj, is being widely circulated on social media.

Multiple X, Facebook and Instagram users shared the purported video of Yash’s Mahakumbh visit. The text-overlay in the video reads, “k.g.f ke Rocky bhai pahunche Mahakumbh Prayagraj.” Newschecker, however, found the claim to be untrue.

Fact Check/Verification

A keyword search for “Actor Yash,” and “Mahakumbh” on Google did not yield any credible reports on KGF star’s alleged visit to the religious congregation in Prayagraj. The actor’s social media accounts did not feature any posts from the alleged Kumbh visit.

We then ran past the keyframes of the viral clip on Google Lens, and were directed to an Instagram post by entertainment news platform Galatta India, dated November 26, 2024. Carrying a slightly different version of the same video, it stated, “On rare occasions Yash gets spotted with his family.”

Notably, the Mahakumbh Mela commenced on January 13, 2025.

One such report by India Today stated, “Pan-India star Yash, well-known for his blockbuster KGF films and his grounded nature, was recently seen in Mumbai along with his wife, Radhika Pandit, and their children.” Adding that the actor was in Mumbai for the shoot of his upcoming movie “Toxic”.

The report also featured an Instagram post by Viral Bhayani, dated November 25, 2025, carrying snippets from the viral clip.

Mahakumbh, Movie Stars And Misinformation

While several Bollywood stars such as Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Tamannaah Bhatia among others have visited the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, multiple instances of false information about actors and actresses reaching the festival have surfaced over the last few weeks.

An AI generated image went viral to claim that Amitabh Bachchan visited the Mahakumbh with Rekha, and an unrelated video was shared to show Salman Khan at the congregation. Several social media users also shared an AI generated image to show Prakash Raj taking a holy dip at the festival.

Conclusion

Hence, the viral video claiming to show actor Yash at Mahakumbh was found to be old, and unrelated to the ongoing congregation in Prayagraj.
