A video showing Bollywood actor Salman Khan with Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant has surfaced on social media platforms. Those sharing the video claim it to be from the Mahakumbh Mela, which is currently underway at Prayagraj. Newschecker, however, found the claim to be untrue.

Fact Check/Verification
A keyword search for “Salman Khan” and “Mahakumbh” on Google did not yield any credible reports stating that the actor visited the religious congregation that is currently underway at Prayagraj.
We then looked up the keyframes of the viral video on Google Lens which led us to an Instagram post by @mj.vishal, dated December 30, 2024. Carrying a longer version of the same footage, it stated, “Salman Khan Anant Ambani and Radhika at Jamnagar.”

It was also shared on X by user @surajit_ghosh2 on December 29, 2024. Notably, the Mahakumbh mela began on January 13, 2025.

Subsequent investigation led us to multiple reports from December 2024 detailing Khan and the Ambanis’ visit to Jamnagar. “Actor Salman Khan, along with his close friends and family members, recently travelled to Jamnagar to attend a grand celebration of his 59th birthday. It was hosted by the Ambanis,” reported Hindustan Times.

It also featured a photo showing them in the same attire as seen in the viral video.

Conclusion
Hence, we found that an old and unrelated video has been falsely shared to show Salman Khan visiting Mahakumbh with Anant Ambani.
