The public chanted “vote chor, gaddi chhod” slogans against Nitish Kumar and Samrat Chaudhary during a recent event.
The viral video is edited. The audio of “vote chor, gaddi chhod” has been digitally added to a genuine video from a recent public programme in Sasaram, where no such slogans were raised.
Ahead of the Bihar state assembly elections, a video allegedly showing chief minister Nitish Kumar and deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary being heckled with slogans of “vote chor, gaddi chhod” (“vote thief, leave the throne”) during a public event has gone viral online.
In the viral clip, both leaders are seen sitting on a stage while the slogan can be heard in the background.

Frames from the viral video matched a clip uploaded on September 25 by the YouTube channel Indian Club Live. The original shows Nitish Kumar and Samrat Choudhary arriving by helicopter, greeting the audience, and sitting on the stage. The audio contains general crowd noise and stage announcements. No “vote chor, gaddi chhod” slogans are heard.

Videos from UP24 News and Himanshu Vlog posted on September 25 also show only normal crowd sounds. The controversial slogan is absent in all authentic versions.
The live stream of the chief minister’s speech, too, did not carry the viral slogans.
Notably, the visuals are from the NDA Karyakarta Samvad programme in Sasaram, which was held on September 24, 2025.
Local journalist Manoj Kumar Singh, present at the event, confirmed that no slogans of “vote chor, gaddi chhod” were raised.
Reporter Anupam Mishra of Media Darshan also verified that while there was a brief scuffle between two groups of JDU workers, no such slogans were shouted.
News outlet Bihar Tak also reported on the same.
Reputable outlets including Dainik Bhaskar, Navbharat Times, and News18 Bihar Jharkhand reported on the event where Nitish Kumar inaugurated several projects. None mentioned any heckling or slogans.
