‘@RakeshKishore_l’ is the official X handle of advocate Rakesh Kishore.
The viral X account impersonating advocate Rakesh Kishore is fake. The advocate confirmed to Newschecker that he has no X account.
Advocate Rakesh Kishore allegedly tried to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai inside a courtroom on Monday (October 6, 2025) over the top judge’s remarks on Lord Vishnu, sparking nationwide attention. Shortly afterward, posts from his purported X handle, ‘@RakeshKishore_l’, critical of the judiciary, went viral. The account has amassed 16.8K followers so far at the time of publishing this article, an exponential increase from around 400 in the morning of October 7, 2025.

The X handle @RakeshKishore_l was created in February 2025.
Initially, it focused on U.S. politics and global affairs, before shifting to Indian national topics like the armed forces.
The first post about the Supreme Court or CJI Gavai appeared on October 6 at 9:31 p.m., roughly an hour after the Prime Minister’s X post on the incident.
The account used an image of the real advocate, likely sourced from a news article or public ID, indicating impersonation.
Also, we noticed a change in the narrative perspective of these two X posts, seen here and here. Uploaded just hours apart on October 7, 2025, the posts shift from a first-person tone to an observer’s third-person voice, further raising our doubts on the authenticity of the handle.
On September 29, 2025, replies to a specific X post displayed the handle @IndianArmy_LG, pointing to a likely impersonation. The account has since adopted a new username, with its former handle still traceable in past posts. Newschecker learnt that the old username will be contained in X posts forming the other side of earlier conversations on the platform.

Newschecker reached out to Rakesh Kishore, who said the X account does not belong to him while also confirming that he is not on X.
