Fact Check
A viral video claims to show Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that India is “saffronising” the Indian Army because it is a Hindu Rashtra, and that the Army will work for the Hindu nation. In the clip, PM Modi is also purportedly heard warning the people of Bangladesh against believing that Pakistan or any other country can save them, saying India created Bangladesh in 1971 and can “snatch it” from Bengalis.

Keyword searches using combinations such as PM Modi, saffronisation of Indian Army, Modi warning Bangladesh, and Pakistan and Bangladesh did not yield any credible media reports or official statements supporting the claim. A review of Prime Minister Modi’s official social media handles also showed no such speech or remarks.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral clip led to a YouTube post on the official channel of PM Narendra Modi, featuring the live streaming of the inauguration of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow on December 25, 2025.
The livestream showed PM Modi wearing the same attire and speaking from the same stage and background as seen in the viral clip. However, a review of the entire speech found no mention of the alleged remarks about the Indian Army, Pakistan, or Bangladesh.

Further, the official transcript of the speech published on the PM India website also does not contain any such statements.
Closer examination of the viral clip revealed inconsistencies. The Prime Minister’s tone and speech delivery did not match his typical speaking style. The text visible on the microphone appeared distorted, and the design of his shawl showed visual irregularities when compared with the original footage.
The video was analysed using Hive Moderation, which indicated a 68.4% probability that the media contains AI-generated or deepfake content. Additionally, four out of six detectors of Deepfake-o-meter flagged the audio as highly likely to be AI-generated, including one model showing a 100% probability.

Newschecker has previously debunked multiple manipulated videos (seen here, here and here) falsely portraying senior political and defence leaders making claims about the “saffronisation” of the Indian Army, indicating a recurring misinformation pattern.

Hence, the viral posts, claiming to show PM Narendra Modi warning Bangladesh and talking about “saffronisation” of the Indian Army, were found to be fabricated.
