Operation Sindoor: Did India Bomb Civilian Areas in Pakistan? Here’s The Truth Behind Viral Video

A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to an Instagram post by @m.h_jahan, dated October 28, 2023. The post carried the same video, confirming that it was not linked to the ‘Operation Sindoor’ of the Indian Armed Forces. 

We also found an X post by @MuhammadSmiry, dated October 23, 2023, carrying the same footage to show the situation in Gaza. 

Further, we looked up the key frames of the viral clip on Yandex which yielded a report by Sputnik News, dated October 13, 2023. Carrying the same video, it stated, “The Israeli army attacked, among other things, underground tunnels, military complexes and posts, as well as the residences of senior Hamas officials (translated from Russian via Google).”

Hence, we find that an old video has been falsely shared to claim that India bombed civilian areas in Pakistan during ‘Operation Sindoor.’
