Video shows US President Donald Trump saying that PM Modi declined his help in dealing with Pakistan following the recent terror attack in Pahlagam that prompted heightened tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.
The post can be seen here.
A keyword search for “Donald Trump”, “PM Modi” and “Nicest Human Being” on Google led us to a report by the Hindustan Times, dated October 09, 2024. “Donald Trump, a former US President and Republican presidential contender, has showered Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with admiration, hailing him as a good “friend” and the “nicest human being.” Calling PM Modi a “total killer,” Trump even stated that India was “very unstable” before him being appointed as the prime minister of the country,” it stated.
The report added that Trump made these comments on an episode of the Flagrant podcast, hosted by Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh.
We then scanned through the official YouTube channel of Flagrant, and found an interview of Donald Trump aired on October 9, 2024.
Around 35 minutes into the video, Trump can be heard talking about world leaders when the host interjects and asks him, “So when you’re with these guys. Are these guys all sharks and you can sense the energy immediately?”
Responding to the same, Trump says, “..not all of them…Modi. India. He’s a friend of mine, he’s great, he’s the nicest…you know before him they had they were replacing him every year it was very unstable…he’s a friend of mind but on the outside he looks like he’s your father. He’s the nicest. Total killer…He’s the nicest human being but we had a couple of occasions where somebody was threatening India, I said let me help I’m very good with those people let me help. ‘I will do it, I will do it and I will do anything necessary. We’ve defeated them for hundreds of years.’ Wow, he was talking about a certain country…”
Hence, we find that an old video has been shared to falsely show Donald Trump admitting that PM Modi declined his help in dealing with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.
