A keyword search for “Pakistan”, “China”, “troops” and “dance” on YouTube led us to a post by @TravelwithQasimA, dated November 15, 2018. It featured a slightly shorter version of the now viral clip, stating, “Pakistani and Chinese Border Guard Troops dancing at Khunjerab Pass Pakistan-China Border Gate.”
Further, we found that the video originally featured in a travel vlog by YouTuber Jojo Aigner, and was posted on his channel on October 6, 2018.
“From Turkey I will travel East over Iran, Pakistan and China to South-East-Asia from where I will try to hitch a ship over the Pacific. Continuing east somewhere on the American Continent for a vessel to Europe until I will reach the place where I started from in Turkey,” its description stated.
The video has since been shared multiple times online, as can be seen here, here and here.
