Viral video shows a tour of the film set created at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles for the movie “War of the Worlds”.
Following the tragic crash of Air India Flight 171 in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, a video claiming to show the site of the accident is going viral on social media, purportedly showing the wreckage of the aircraft and debris from the destroyed buildings strewn across the area.
Newschecker found that viral footage is of the iconic film set created at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles for the aeroplane crash scene in the 2005 Hollywood epic “War of the Worlds’, starring Tom Cruise. We had earlier debunked the video on August 22, 2023, when it went viral with the claim that it showed the aftermath of a plane crash-landing in California as a result of Hurricane Hilary.
