A video allegedly showing a “decision” by the Hindus in Nagpur to boycott the Muslim community members following the recent communal clashes in the city, is being widely shared on social media platforms.
In the initial few frames of the video, an elderly man is seen addressing a large gathering and saying, “Take a pledge…if you befriend them, no one will support you, if anyone does business with them…no one will support you…that Muslim is friends with him. Someone is doing business with him. If this continues, the same situation will prevail…” The crowd is heard agreeing with the man.
The text overlay in the video claims, “नागपुर में हिंदुओं का निर्णय” (Decision by Hindus in Nagpur). Multiple X and Facebook users shared the video linking it to the recent violence in Maharashtra. Newschecker, however, found the claim to be untrue.
