1. No Credible Reports or Official Confirmation
- A Google keyword search using phrases such as “Amit Shah financial opportunity rally” yielded no credible media reports, official announcements, or government press releases.
- We also reviewed the official social media accounts of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Amit Shah, which were devoid of any mention of such an investment or financial scheme.
2. Source of the Original Video Identified
- A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral clip traced it to a video uploaded on Amit Shah’s official YouTube channel on October 29, 2025.
- The original video shows the Home Minister addressing a political rally in Darbhanga, Bihar.
- He appears in the same attire and background setup as seen in the viral clip.
- However, after reviewing the entire speech, we found that Amit Shah did not mention or promote any investment scheme.

3. Manipulation Detected in the Viral Clip
- On careful visual analysis, the lip-sync appears inconsistent in several segments of the viral video.
- The lip movements look forced, and the lower jaw area appears smudged and blurred, indicating possible digital alteration.
- We also ran the audio through Deepfake-o-meter and three out of five detectors flagged the voice as having a high probability of being AI-generated.
- The Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU) of the TIA, of which Newschecker is a part, also ran the viral audio on Aurigin.ai, a Swiss deep-tech company with an advanced audio deepfake detection engine, classified the voice as “partially AI-generated”
- The DAU also checked the video on Hive AI deepfake detector which found the presence of deepfake in certain frames.


Suspicious Link and Website Analysis
- The viral post included a link redirecting users to “novafasion.com.”
- The website was found to be impersonating the homepage of an organisation called Development Oriented Operations Research and Surveys (DOORS).

- Notably, the legitimate website of DOORS is doorsindia.org.
- A scan using website Scam Detector gave novafashion.com a low trust score of 12.3, flagging it as untrustworthy, risky, and dangerous.
- According to WhoIs.com, the domain was registered on December 11, 2025, with most ownership details withheld.
