The railway police on Monday launched the Nirbhaya helpline, an exclusive WhatsApp number where women commuters can send complaints, pictures and videos on women safety and related issues. ਗੌਰਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੇ ਨਿਰਭਯਾ ਕਾਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ – 181 ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਾਤਕਾਲ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਟੋਲ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ – 1091 ਨੰਬਰ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ – ਵੱਖ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
