Viral Video Of Police Recovering A Gun From A ‘Female Teacher’ In UP Is False
A video of a police woman recovering a gun while frisking a female is going viral on social media, claiming to show a female teacher from Uttar Pradesh. According to the investigation conducted by Newschecker, the female caught with a country made pistol in Mainpuri is neither Muslim, nor a school teacher. Read more here.
Muslims Converted Ancient Temple In Kerala To A Mosque? No, Video of Mangaluru Mosque Shared With False Claim
A video showing an old structure complete with an adjoining pond, built in the style of architecture typical to Kerala, is being shared widely on social media alleging that an ancient Hindu temple in the state has been converted into a mosque. An image claiming to show buildings inside the JNU situated in the national capital is being circulated widely as a WhatsApp forward alleging that the J&K hostel inside the university campus with a capacity to house 400 students, provides free accommodation to Muslims from the state and does not allow members of other religions including Hindus to be housed there. Elephant Attacks Father-Son Duo Over Attempt To Feed It Meat? No, Viral Claim Is Misleading
A shocking video that shows an elephant reacting in rage, coiling its trunk around a toddler and attempting to fling the child after he offers the animal something to eat, is going viral on social media. Users who posted the video claimed that the animal retaliated after the “Muslim fellow tried to give meat to Elephant.” Newschecker has found the claim to be untrue. Read more here.
